Changes in the rules for the transfer of primary school teachers :
- Different seniority of Std. 1 to 5 and Std. 6 to 8 teachers will be considered.
- Standard 1 to 8 consecutive units will no longer be considered in the transfer of primary teachers.
- The district transfer of women teachers will benefit on the basis of place of marriage registration instead of place of appointment.
- Not the Secretariat, but all government employee teacher wives will have the opportunity to be transferred within 3 years of appointment.
- Simplified the process of transfer of female teachers.
- The teacher will be able to replace the spouse within 3 years
- Transfers will no longer be considered as standard 1 to 8 consecutive units.
Appointments will be made on the basis of vacancies in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad districts. Apart from this, at the time of transfer of district, the woman will get a big benefit that the place during her deputation but the place of marriage registration will be taken into consideration. This will benefit the teacher wives of all government employees. It is important to note that previously only the wives of Secretariat employees benefited.

There have been three important resolutions on change so far
So far, three important resolutions have been passed regarding the transfer of teachers or teaching assistants in Std. 1 to 8 schools of the government under the district primary education committee and the corporation under the town primary education committee. Since then some further amendments need to be made in view of the widespread representations, the Department of Education of the Government has decided to amend the rules for the transfer of teachers or teaching assistants in Std: 1 to 8 primary education and Std: 6 to 8 upper primary education.
