In accordance with Article 45 of the guiding principles of the Constitution of our Independent India, we were to make such efforts to ensure that all children in the age group of 6 to 14 years get free and compulsory primary education. The new Education Policy of 1986 and the subsequent ambitious schemes like District Primary Education Program (DPEP) helped accelerate our efforts. Following the success of various schemes, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission has been implemented across the country since 2001. Earlier schemes were limited to a limited number of areas while implementation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan could be done faster and more efficiently as it was done nationwide and universally. During the implementation of these schemes and programs, it was felt that if primary education was considered as a fundamental right of children, the state government could make all government institutions at school and community level as well as civil society establishments more active for universalization of primary education.

The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 was enacted by the Parliament to ensure a collective effort for the primary education of the child and also to ensure accountability at that level. This law is known as RTE (Right to Education) 2009 or “Right to Education”. Some important provisions have been made for primary education under the Right to Education Act. Based on these provisions, the state government has passed some important resolutions. No one can say in court to acquit himself after committing a crime that I did not know the law that stealing or murder is a punishable offense, even if he says so the court will not accept it because he is over 18 years of age. The citizen has to study the Constitution of India on his own or assume that he knows. Just as it is the sole duty of a person above 18 years of age to know the Constitution of India as well as the law, laws, our rights and duties as a citizen of India, so it is the sole duty of a teacher to know RTE 2009 and the changes made in education under it.
Some important provisions have been made for primary education under the Right to Education Act. Based on these provisions the state government has to work out some important resolutions. Let's take a look at these resolutions.
  • No child enrolled in the school shall be barred or expelled at any standard till the completion of elementary education.
  • Admission of out-of-school children. Benefit from any scheme run by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission for out of school children.
  • No child shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
  • No teacher may engage in private tuition or private teaching activity.
  • No school or person will charge any kind of capitation fee while enrolling the child in the school and will not pass the examination or interview to the child or his / her parent for admission in the school.
  • During the academic year, for Std. 1 to 5, 200 working days and at least 800 hours of academic work per year should be done.
  • During the academic year, for Std. 6th to 8th, 220 working days and at least 1000 hours of academic work per year should be done.
Committee SMC is also formed at the school level for the purpose that the teacher can easily perform the guided goals / actions of RTE in the school as well as the school can be the property of the village.

Parents have to pay special attention for admission in Std. 1 for the next academic year 2021-22 in all primary schools of Gujarat state.
For the academic year of the year 2021-22, when the child who has completed 5 years is being admitted ... The latest sample of the child form which is to be filled in the child's standard: 1 is placed here. Which is to be placed in various formats. pdf, ward, excel etc ....

Here, the latest file created in Excel is a very useful file for every primary school in which after saving the data in the data input sheet, only the order will be prepared in the walliform, which can be printed and deleted in A4 size.

Gujarat State Education Department will change the age for admission in Std. 1 from now on. If the child is younger than 4 years, he will be given admission in Junior KG in the new semester, then when that child comes in the first standard, he will not get admission as he has not completed 6 years.

The government has raised the age of admission in Std 1 to 6 years from the academic year 2023-24 but parents have to be vigilant from now on. The state currently has a provision to give admission in standard 1 to students who have completed five years on June 1. The age rule for admission in standard 1 was changed by issuing a circular by the education department only after the commencement of the session this year. According to which, for admission in Std. The Department of Education has decided to implement this new rule from the academic year 2023-24 as many questions may arise if this new rule is implemented from the current year. For the previous three years i.e. 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years, the age for admission in Std. 1 has been kept at 5 years only.

Even after this circular of the government, people are admitting children at an early age as they do not understand it. Parents will not be affected at present but the year will be worse when the child reaches first standard and has not reached 6 years of age. So a circular has been issued on Wednesday by the education department. In which it has been mentioned that the circular of the government has not been disseminated as much as it should have been. So that the parents have to try to get maximum understanding in this regard.

The rule of 6 years in standard 1 will be implemented from the year 2023-24. So that the children taking admission in Junior KG in the new academic year will have to be especially vigilant. Until now, when a child is 3 years old, he was given admission in Junior KG. However, that will no longer be possible. From the new academic year, the child will be admitted in Junior KG only if he is 4 years old. So when he comes to senior KG after one year, he will be 5 years old. Similarly, when he comes to the first standard in 2023-24, he will be 6 years old and will be considered eligible for admission.

In the new semester, on June 1, the child will be less than 4 years of age and will be given admission in Junior KG, but after two years, when he comes to Std. Therefore, parents who are in a hurry to send their child to school will have to face difficulties after two years and one year of the child will be wasted. So special care has to be taken while enrolling a child in school in the new year.

Latest Circular dated: 03/06/2020 issued by the State Government regarding the age limit for admission in Std.

In this regard, the admission process for the new academic session has started in the schools in the state. Many schools have been found to be admitting junior KGs even though the students are around 3 years of age. Thus, despite the schools being informed, there are complaints that they do not provide any information to the parents who come for admission. Schools are only focusing on the admission process. Two years later, when these children do not get admission in standard 1, they will lay the blame on the government.
