Garbapothi: Very useful Garbapothi for city and rural street Garba (Navratri)
⇛ ગરબાપોથી: શહેર તથા ગામ્ય શેરી ગરબા(નવરાત્રી) માટે ખુબજ ઉપયોગી ગરબાપોથી
⇛ Garba: Garba is one of the most popular religious folk dances in Gujarat, India. Garba takes place during the dates from the Shukla Paksha unit of the month to Aso. These nights are known as Navratri. Goddesses like Amba, Mahakali, Chamunda etc. are worshiped through this dance. This is one of the most famous festivals in India.
Pride is a symbol of religion. Garba is associated with the worship of Shakti, the greatness of Shakti. The Garba festival of Navratri is a festival of Shaktipuja.
Our scholars are not yet in complete agreement on the etymology of the word 'Garbo' but Deepgarvo Ghat: / Deepgarvo / Gabho / Garbho / Garbo (Garbo) seems to be the derivation of the word Garbo in this order.
Apart from dancing, in Navratri, lamps made by placing flames inside a perforated pot are also called garba. Songs sung in praise of Mataji during Navratri are also called Garba.
The word garbo literally means - a pit with a hole in which a flame is lit and placed in worship of Mataji as a lamp. The word Garbo is derived from the original Sanskrit word Garbhadeep.
The connotations of the noun 'Garbo' gradually expanded. ‘Garbo Lakhay’, ‘Garbo Chhapay’, ‘Garbo Gavay’, ‘Garbe Ghumay’, ‘Garbo Khariday’ are all such meanings contained in the word Garba. Let's set it up by lighting a lamp in a perforated earthen pot in Navratri. Putting this event in the middle, the type of dance that women circle around is also 'Garbo'. Then the song sung with this dance also got the name 'Garbo' and finally, even if Garba is not established in the middle, the group dance that takes place in such a circle and the song sung with it is called 'Garbo'.
Garba is a unique genre of Gujarati literature and music. It is so closely related to Gujarati culture that non-Gujaratis (and sometimes even Gujaratis) automatically interpret Garba when it comes to Gujarati music. All over Gujarat, many folk songs are sung in praise of various forms of Mataji.

The festival of adoration of nine forms of Durga i.e. Navratri is starting from tomorrow. In the Navratri of this month, the holy festival of worshiping Shakti is celebrated. In addition to installing Garba in the house, statues of Durga are also installed. These statues are dismantled on the day of Dussehra. Meanwhile, Dussehra will be celebrated on October 15. Navratri begins with the pratipada of this month. Garba is installed on this day.
Here's how to install Garba :
To install Garba, keep seven types of grains in a clay pot, fill the pot with water and place it on top of the clay pot. Then Asopalav leaves are placed on the kalash and coconut is wrapped in a red cloth. And by worshiping Lord Ganesha and Kalash, Maa Durga is invoked.
