Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas is a system of central schools for talented students predominantly from rural area in India. They are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

To provide good quality modern education-including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education- to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas without regard to their family's socio-economic conditions.

The qualification for sitting for the entrance examination of Navodaya Vidyalaya is as follows.

  1. The student should be studying in standard 8 of any government recognized school.
  2. He should be between 6-12 years of age.
  3. For rural conservation, Std. 6, 7 and 8 should be studied from a government recognized rural area school.
  4. Must be taking this exam for the first time.

The brightest students in these schools are recruited through nationwide entrance examinations which are conducted by CBSE in each district and they are given admission in Std. Until 12, these examinations were conducted by NCERT. These exams are primarily optional and mostly non-literal. These examination papers are prepared keeping in view the abilities of the rural students.

Now admission is also given in 9th and 11th standard. This admission is also given through optional and topical examination (on English, Mathematics, Science and Sociology subject). This interim admission comes to fill the vacancy left by the alumni dropping out of school.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya, first established in 1918, was the brainchild of the then "Minister of Human Resource Development" Shri PV Narasimha Rao (who later became the Prime Minister of India). Formerly known as Navodaya Vidyalaya, these institutions were renamed as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. There are more than 50 JN schools all over India. Shri Rajiv Gandhi dreamed of opening a Navodaya Vidyalaya in every district. Every student is given free education in these schools. Students in these schools are recruited through nationwide entrance examinations. This examination is conducted by district.

Navodaya Vidyalaya is managed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. It is a self-governing body under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Union Minister of the Ministry of Human Resource Development is the Chairperson of this Committee. The Union Minister of State is its Vice-Chairperson. The committee is co-chaired by the Finance Committee and the Educational-Advisory Committee.

The committee has 8 divisions and for their smooth management there is a divisional office of each division. These offices are in different states. Each school has a school advisory committee and a school management committee to oversee. The District Magistrate (according to the concerned district) is the Chairman of the School Committee. Local scholars and public activists are members of this school committee. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is headquartered in New Delhi.

Disaster and Management ll Very useful files for Disaster and Management.

Very useful files for disaster and management.

હોનારત અને સંચાલન

Useful file for every gram panchayat, schools

🔘  Disaster:

A disaster is an event that causes a lot of pain or suffering, endangers people and injures most people, as well as feeding them with wealth and possessions. A disaster is a situation that strikes without warning or with a very short-term warning. There is loss of life and property. And a society that disrupts life. In short, disasters or catastrophes cause so much damage that in some cases local institutions or the government alone cannot reach for the rehabilitation of the people by reducing this type of food supply.

🔘  Admin:

Simply put, disaster management is a set of steps taken to find a way out of a situation created by a disaster. Disaster management is a set of policies, administrative decisions and operations that touch all surfaces at different stages of a disaster.

Disaster management covers all aspects of disaster planning and response. This includes all pre-disaster and post-disaster activities. It has to do with both the risks of disaster and its consequences. According to experts, "disaster management is a planned management activity to address a problem caused by a major natural or man-made disaster."

🔘  Disasters are mainly of two types.

  • Natural disaster
  • Man-made disaster

 Disaster કુદરતી આપત્તિ શું છે ?

Natural disasters include earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, sea earthquakes, avalanches, torrential rains, droughts, volcanoes, wildfires, extreme cold, etc. Not all of these disasters are controlled by humans.

Natural disasters mean ... Natural disasters are the effects of natural disasters (e.g. floods, severe storms, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes or mountain breaks) that affect the environment and cause financial, environmental and / or human damage. Is. The result comes. Disaster damage depends on the population's ability to withstand or stay safe from disaster. (1) Natural disasters will never occur in areas with impenetrability, e.g. Like earthquakes in desolate areas. The term natural has always been controversial, as events without human involvement are usually not harmful or catastrophic.

What is a man-made disaster_માનવસર્જિત આપત્તિ શું છે ?

         - What is a man-made disaster?

Man-made disasters include railway accidents, air accidents, bus accidents, sea accidents, wildfires, epidemics, communal riots, terrorist attacks, etc. In addition, man-made disasters can include global warming. That is the important thing in today's age. And decisive action is required on its management.

Global warming and global cooling are the biggest man-made disasters.
Man-made disasters such as deforestation, negligence in water and land management, underground nuclear explosions, chemical experiments, large dams built on rivers, etc. are blamed. The following points indicate some of the world's man-made disasters.

We saw what a disaster it is. Its types are natural and man-made. As a prelude to these natural and man-made opportunities, at our school or village level, we can plan ahead.
For that, I have put some modules here. It contains PDF, Word, as well as PowerPoint files which will be very useful for every school, teacher as well as gram panchayat.
