Organic farming products are nutritious. It has natural flavor, sweetness and soda. It contains more minerals, vitamins and life-giving elements. E.g. Organic farming products contain 118% more molybdenum, 63% more calcium, 73% more iron, 91% more phosphorus, 125% more potassium and 60% more zinc compared to chemical farming products.
Organic farming is a special method of maintaining quality and more productive soil as well as crop quality through various methods of organic farming. Organic farming, natural farming, organic farming, sage farming etc. The method of taking crop production under different names is organic farming. Development of Organic Farming Today in the country and especially in the state of Gujarat, farmers still avoid doing organic farming. The main reason behind this is lack of proper information on various methods of organic farming and its benefits. An important factor in the founding of the Green Revolution is the variety of crops that we have been producing over the years in hybrid farming with high yields and short-term yields due to excessive use of fertilizers and water. Due to which these innovative varieties are widely used. As a result, some issues have arisen in which the health of the soil has deteriorated due to excessive use of chemicals and the productivity and fertility of the soil has been reduced. Due to which after a long time both the production and quality of the crop from this land decreased.
Thus, due to hybrid farming, in the end, along with the loss of land, it was also the turn of the farmer. Then came the need for a system that would maintain the quality of the land as well as the crop. As a result of which organic farming, sage farming, natural farming, organic farming etc. crop development methods were developed under different names.
⇛ Why is organic farming necessary
In the current fast-paced era, farming has also accelerated. Various hybrid seeds, chemical fertilizers as well as toxic pesticides were widely used for higher income and higher yields. As a part of which the incidence of various fatal diseases also increased. It has a bad effect on people's health. To prevent this ... Cow based organic farming without chemical fertilizers as well as toxic pesticides has become very necessary to protect human beings from various toxins of chemicals as well as pesticides.
⇛ Crop methods in organic farming
- Use of inter-crop-mixed cropping system in organic farming.
- In organic farming, the inclusion of pulses under intercropping-mixed cropping system adds air nitrogen to the soil. Which becomes useful to the crop.
- In organic farming, crop rotation should be done every year without taking a single class of crop, in which it is advisable to include pulses.
⇛ Crop Nutrition Management in Organic Farming
- In organic farming, good cobweed weed seed free organic manure should be used in the crop.
- In organic farming, organic manure, silt manure is mixed in the soil and soil is prepared for planting.
- In organic farming, different fertilizers, vermi compost, cohesive waste etc. can be used to meet the nutrient requirements of the crop in place of manure.
- In organic farming, for the purpose of adding atmospheric nitrogen to the soil by micro-organisms, the crop of pulses which are suitable for that crop should be propagated.
- Involvement of organic matter in green manure in crop planning in organic farming.
- In organic farming, if possible, apply fertilizer in furrows only if it is possible in wide growing crops.
- In organic farming, crop residues, waste from farm manure etc. should not be incinerated which should be compacted in the field or collected and disposed of in the field only after it has been well digested.
⇛ Managing pests in organic farming
- Selecting varieties of disease resistant crops in organic farming, plowing in summer.
- By maintaining sowing time, the crop can be protected from pests and diseases.
- Large caterpillars should be killed by hand.
- In organic farming, the rate of seed should be kept relatively high so that the number of plants per unit area is maintained even if there is loss of disease and pests.
- Using a light cage.
- In organic farming, use of herbal medicines like Neem, Statistics, Kalaj etc.
⇛ Weed control in organic farming
- In organic farming, plowing should be done at least enough so that the seeds of weeds in the lower layer of the soil do not come up.
- Weeds need to be removed as soon as possible.
- Irrigate before planting and destroy weeds after shallow tillage.
- Intercropping the standing crop after germination to remove weeds.
- Weed removal in crop line in organic farming using hoe.
- In the summer, weeds should be plowed and the weeds like houses should be destroyed.
- Use well-drained weed seedless good manure.
⇛ Irrigation system in organic farming
- Crops should be irrigated as per requirement.
- The crop should be informed about the water crisis and water should be given only at that stage.
- Giving more irrigation water to the crop, eliminates the notion of higher yield.
- Excessive irrigation of crops increases the incidence of pests and diseases.
- Micro irrigation method should be used.

⇛ Benefits of Organic Farming
- Organic farming is of great benefit to the farmers as it maintains the quality and productivity of the crop as well as reduces the cost of fertilizer.
- Organic farming can prevent damage to land, water and environment.
- The quality of crop production is higher.
- Soil productivity and fertility are maintained and increased.
- Soil health / fertility lasts longer.
- The average market price is also higher due to the quality of the product.
- Being productive in the long run leads to higher market prices.
- The cost of manure is reduced as the grass, waste, etc. produced in the field is used as compost.
- By not using toxic chemicals for pest control, the quality of crop production is good and not harmful to human health.
