The temple of Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji is located in Salangpur village of Barwala taluka of Botad district of Gujarat. Salangpur is only 82 km from Bhavnagar. Being remote, easily accessible by car or bus. The idol of Ishtadev Kashtabhanjan Hanumandada was installed in this wonderful temple by Gopalananda Swami, a follower of Lord Sri Swaminarayana.

Shri Gopalananda Swami established this idol of Shri Kashtabhanjan-Hanumanji Maharaj in Salangpur village with Vedoka ceremony. This temple is very impressive and a center of religious faith.
The idol of Shri Hanumanji trembled with manifest power... At the time of Aarti, S.G. Shri Gopalananda Swami stood in front of the idol with a stick resting on his beard and made a vow to manifest Hanumanji Maharaj in this idol and through the sign of Shriji in samadhioga, he invited Hanumanji to always appear in this idol. . As soon as Guru Gopalnandji Swami's command was given, Shri Ramdoot Hanumanji immediately appeared in this idol, along with which this idol started shaking. After the call of Sarva Sukhdata Swamiji, sitting in the idol, Marutinandan started laughing.
Swamishri requested Hanumanji Maharaj to remove the suffering of every human being who came to his feet. Let's free all the victims from the loop of fist-chot-witch-shakan-malin-mantra-tantra-ghost-ghost-brahamrakshas-witch-ghost etc. and save them all. The idol was shaking till then... Devotees prayed to Swami that Swami! Dada Kastabhanjan Dev gives him a proper release by giving him the promise of human beings. Every living being who surrenders to Dada is blessed and freed from adhi-vyadhi-upadhi. In this temple there is a gandu-palang-bajot of Sriji's prasadi under which the ghosts are burnt by placing the possessed person and on receiving such a terrible punishment they are ready to run away. Shriji Maharaj bathed and drank water from the Ganga water well of this temple.
Kashtabhanjan was also anointed with water from this well. Shriji Maharaj has bathed many times along with many saints and devotees in Narayankund here. Crores of ghosts from humans, animals and birds are sent to the brine of this Narayan Kund, from where they are absolved.

The fame of Salangpur Sri Kastabhanjandev Hanuman Temple today spreads in all eight directions. Around two crore pilgrims come to this temple every year. Every Saturday, even under normal circumstances, 25,000 to 30,000 people flock to see Shri Hanumanjidada. This temple celebrates Aso Vad Pancham (Patotsava Day), Hanuman Jayanti, Kali Chaudash and all Hindu festivals with pomp.
The day of Shri Kastabhanjandev temple starts at 5:30 in the morning with Mangala Aarti. After six and a half to seven Balbhog, ten and a half to eleven Rajbhog. Darshan is closed from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sandhya Aarti at sunset and bedtime at 9 pm. The sanctum sanctorum is managed by the Vadtal-based Sri Lakshminarayan Trust Board. The Kothariswamy of the temple has been appointed by this board itself.
