The scheme is run by the Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries. Some eligibility has been fixed to avail the benefit. Which is given below.
- Applicant should be a citizen of Gujarat state.
- Beneficiary should be educated at least up to class-4.
- Age of applicant-beneficiary should be 18 to 65 years.
- A person will get the benefit of Shri Vajpayee Bankable Yojana only once.
- The beneficiary should have at least 3 months of training from a private institution relevant to the business or profession for which the loan is to be taken.
- Beneficiary will be eligible to avail this scheme even if he has undergone 1 month training from a government recognized institution.
- An applicant with 1 year of business related experience will also be considered.
- The benefit of the scheme will be available even if the beneficiary himself is a legacy artisan.
- Under this scheme applicant can get loan through vajpayee bankable yojana bank list like nationalized banks, cooperative bank, public sector banks, private bank.
- Disabled or blind citizens can also benefit from this scheme.
- Active SHGs whose grading is done will be eligible to avail Vajpayee Bankable Loan Yojana.
- Applicants who have availed the benefit of such scheme through this department or any other department will not be eligible for this scheme.
