Every living being on earth has the right to live. But rare trees, rare animals, species of trees are being trafficked by some perverts. Global efforts were made to stop it. World Wildlife Day Celebrations The United Nations General Assembly declared March 3 as World Wildlife Day for 2013 every year to raise awareness of conservation, breeding and conservation of endangered wild animals and plants around the world. Accordingly, World Wildlife Day is celebrated on March 3 every year. On this day, every wildlife on Earth has the same right to live and exist as human beings.
History of World Wildlife Day:
Lives of citizens around the world depend on water and forests. But there were still many cases of smuggling of wild animals and forest resources. To stop it, the United Nations signed the Convention for the Suppression of Trade in Wildlife and Plants on March 3, 1973. Then on 20 December 2013, the United Nations General Assembly was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The convention decided to observe 3rd March as World Wildlife Day to prevent and raise public awareness about wildlife trafficking. Since then, March 3 is celebrated as World Wildlife Day.
World Wildlife Day is celebrated to protect wildlife on Earth. For this every year a theme is taken from the United Nations and worked on. Along with it comes public awareness among the citizens. Ever since the United Nations declared World Wildlife Day, various themes have been worked on. In 2015, the theme was the need to get serious about wildlife crime. In 2016, the United Nations worked with the theme that the future of wildlife is in our hands. In 2017, the United Nations has worked with the theme "Youth make their voices heard". In 2018, the United Nations raised awareness on the theme of endangered wildlife of cat species. In 2019, the United Nations raised awareness for citizens and the planet with the theme Life Underwater. So the United Nations came up with a theme for 2020 of sustaining life on Earth. This year, the United Nations is raising awareness with the theme of Contribution to Wildlife Conservation.
On March 3, World Wildlife Day celebrations began in Thailand. This World Wildlife Day is a reminder to promote the freedom of wildlife on Earth and raise awareness about their rights. The policy of promoting the study of various aspects of wildlife including genetic, scientific, aesthetic aspects was also explained on the occasion. Hence, from the first Wildlife Day in Bangkok, Thailand to the present day, the Joint General Assembly has worked on different themes for World Wildlife Day. The theme of this year's World Wildlife Day is Partnership for Wildlife Conservation on behalf of the United Nations.

Importance and Significance of Wildlife Day:
Wildlife has been present on earth since the time of human existence and has also become an integral part of each other's lives. Besides food and medicine, we get many benefits from wildlife, such as wildlife keeping the climate in balance.
They help in regularization of rainfall and recovery of natural resources. The world is full of amazing creatures in every possible way. From birds of the air to majestic whales of the sea, wildlife abounds in the most unusual and unexpected places.
Losing wildlife is beyond our control because the presence of wildlife and plants is necessary for the survival of human life on Earth. Without wildlife, Earth would be like a dry-dead planet, on which life is not possible.
The richness of biodiversity makes the earth habitable but the irony of today is that the ever-increasing pollution is adversely affecting the environment in such a bad way that many species of animals and plants are slowly becoming extinct. It is for this reason that the United Nations declared March 3 as World Wildlife Day.
If we look at the endangered species in the country, the number of Hangloos found in Kashmir is only around 200, out of which approximately 110 Hangloos live in Dachigam National Park. Similarly, the Barasinga deer species commonly found in the Amouk area is now restricted to some forests of Central India.
According to environmental experts and scientists, insects become sluggish in pollution and foggy environment. Pollution toxins are now also entering the bodies of bees and insects like silkworms. Colorful butterflies are also getting damaged. In many places, trees and plants are also having an adverse effect due to additional pollution.
Due to the high amount of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen and ozone in the air, the leaves of trees and plants also dry up and break. According to environmental experts, if this situation is not seriously addressed now, many species of trees and plants and living insects will become extinct in the near future.
Restore ecosystems by saving endangered species (લુપ્ત થતી પ્રાણી સૃષ્ટિ બચાવીને ઇકોસિસ્ટમને પુન:સ્થાપન કરો) :
Today, this day is celebrated to focus the attention of the earthlings globally on the conservation of some of the most endangered species of wild fauna and flora in the world including India. For the last 9 years the whole world has become aware of this which is a good thing. More than 8,400 species of wild fauna and flora are critically endangered and another 30,000 species are critically endangered and struggling to survive. According to the findings of wildlife and zoologists, more than one million species are threatened with extinction. World Wildlife in 2022 seriously emphasizes the global work to reverse the causes of extinction of endangered species while restoring them to their native habitats, habitats, food etc. As the continued loss of habitat for endangered species, along with their ecosystems, threatens all life on Earth, including ours, we must take the necessary steps now to restore them.

પૃથ્વી પરના દરેક જીવને જીવવાનો અધિકાર છે. પરંતુ કેટલાક વિકૃત લોકો દ્વારા દુર્લભ વૃક્ષો, દુર્લભ પ્રાણીઓ, વૃક્ષોની પ્રજાતિઓની હેરફેર કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. તેને રોકવા માટે વૈશ્વિક પ્રયાસો કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસની ઉજવણીઓ યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સ જનરલ એસેમ્બલીએ વિશ્વભરમાં ભયંકર વન્ય પ્રાણીઓ અને છોડના સંરક્ષણ, સંવર્ધન અને સંરક્ષણ અંગે જાગૃતિ લાવવા દર વર્ષે 2013 માટે 3 માર્ચને વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ તરીકે જાહેર કર્યો હતો. તદનુસાર, દર વર્ષે 3 માર્ચે વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ દિવસે, પૃથ્વી પરના દરેક વન્યજીવોને મનુષ્ય તરીકે જીવવાનો અને અસ્તિત્વમાં રહેવાનો સમાન અધિકાર છે.
વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસનો ઇતિહાસ:
વિશ્વભરના નાગરિકોનું જીવન પાણી અને જંગલો પર નિર્ભર છે. પરંતુ હજુ પણ જંગલી પ્રાણીઓ અને વન સંસાધનોની દાણચોરીના ઘણા કિસ્સાઓ હતા. તેને રોકવા માટે, યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સે 3 માર્ચ, 1973ના રોજ વન્યજીવ અને છોડના વેપારના દમન માટેના સંમેલન પર હસ્તાક્ષર કર્યા. ત્યારબાદ 20 ડિસેમ્બર 2013ના રોજ, થાઈલેન્ડના બેંગકોકમાં સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્ર મહાસભા યોજાઈ. સંમેલનમાં વન્યપ્રાણી તસ્કરીને રોકવા અને જનજાગૃતિ વધારવા માટે 3જી માર્ચને વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ તરીકે ઉજવવાનું નક્કી કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. ત્યારથી, 3 માર્ચને વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.
વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ પૃથ્વી પરના વન્યજીવોના રક્ષણ માટે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ માટે દર વર્ષે સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્રમાંથી એક થીમ લેવામાં આવે છે અને તેના પર કામ કરવામાં આવે છે. તેની સાથે નાગરિકોમાં જનજાગૃતિ આવે છે. જ્યારથી યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સે વિશ્વ વન્યજીવ દિવસ જાહેર કર્યો છે ત્યારથી વિવિધ થીમ પર કામ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. 2015 માં, થીમ વન્યજીવ અપરાધ વિશે ગંભીર બનવાની જરૂરિયાત હતી. 2016 માં, યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સ એ થીમ સાથે કામ કર્યું હતું કે વન્યજીવનનું ભવિષ્ય આપણા હાથમાં છે. 2017 માં, યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સે "યુવાનો તેમના અવાજો સાંભળવા" થીમ સાથે કામ કર્યું છે. 2018માં, યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સે બિલાડીની પ્રજાતિઓના જોખમમાં મુકાયેલા વન્યજીવનની થીમ પર જાગૃતિ ફેલાવી હતી. 2019 માં, યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સે લાઈફ અંડરવોટર થીમ સાથે નાગરિકો અને ગ્રહ માટે જાગૃતિ ફેલાવી. તેથી યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સ 2020 માટે પૃથ્વી પર જીવન ટકાવી રાખવાની થીમ લઈને આવ્યું. આ વર્ષે, સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્ર વન્યજીવ સંરક્ષણમાં યોગદાનની થીમ સાથે જાગૃતિ ફેલાવી રહ્યું છે.
3 માર્ચે, થાઈલેન્ડમાં વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસની ઉજવણી શરૂ થઈ. આ વિશ્વ વન્યજીવ દિવસ એ પૃથ્વી પરના વન્યજીવોની સ્વતંત્રતાને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા અને તેમના અધિકારો વિશે જાગૃતિ લાવવાનું એક રીમાઇન્ડર છે. આ પ્રસંગે આનુવંશિક, વૈજ્ઞાનિક, સૌંદર્યલક્ષી પાસાઓ સહિત વન્યજીવનના વિવિધ પાસાઓના અભ્યાસને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવાની નીતિ પણ સમજાવવામાં આવી હતી. આથી, થાઈલેન્ડના બેંગકોકમાં પ્રથમ વન્યજીવ દિવસથી લઈને આજદિન સુધી સંયુક્ત મહાસભાએ વિશ્વ વન્યજીવ દિવસ માટે જુદી જુદી થીમ પર કામ કર્યું છે. આ વર્ષના વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસની થીમ સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્ર વતી વન્યજીવ સંરક્ષણ માટે ભાગીદારી છે.
વન્યજીવન દિવસનું મહત્વ અને મહત્વ:
માનવ અસ્તિત્વના સમયથી પૃથ્વી પર વન્યજીવો હાજર છે અને એકબીજાના જીવનનો અભિન્ન અંગ પણ બની ગયા છે. ખોરાક અને દવા ઉપરાંત, આપણે વન્યજીવનમાંથી ઘણા ફાયદાઓ મેળવીએ છીએ, જેમ કે વન્યજીવ આબોહવાને સંતુલિત રાખે છે.
તેઓ વરસાદના નિયમિતકરણ અને કુદરતી સંસાધનોની પુનઃપ્રાપ્તિમાં મદદ કરે છે. વિશ્વ દરેક સંભવિત રીતે અદ્ભુત જીવોથી ભરેલું છે. હવાના પક્ષીઓથી લઈને દરિયાની જાજરમાન વ્હેલ સુધી, વન્યજીવન સૌથી અસામાન્ય અને અણધાર્યા સ્થળોએ ભરપૂર છે.
વન્યજીવન ગુમાવવું એ આપણા નિયંત્રણની બહાર છે કારણ કે પૃથ્વી પર માનવ જીવનના અસ્તિત્વ માટે વન્યજીવન અને છોડની હાજરી જરૂરી છે. વન્યજીવન વિના, પૃથ્વી સૂકા-મૃત ગ્રહ જેવી હશે, જેના પર જીવન શક્ય નથી.
જૈવવિવિધતાની સમૃદ્ધિ પૃથ્વીને રહેવા યોગ્ય બનાવે છે પરંતુ આજની વિડંબના એ છે કે સતત વધી રહેલા પ્રદૂષણની પર્યાવરણ પર એટલી ખરાબ અસર થઈ રહી છે કે પ્રાણીઓ અને છોડની ઘણી પ્રજાતિઓ ધીમે ધીમે લુપ્ત થઈ રહી છે. આ કારણે જ સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્રએ 3 માર્ચને વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન દિવસ તરીકે જાહેર કર્યો છે.
જો આપણે દેશમાં લુપ્ત થતી પ્રજાતિઓ પર નજર કરીએ તો, કાશ્મીરમાં જોવા મળતા હેંગલૂની સંખ્યા માત્ર 200ની આસપાસ છે, જેમાંથી અંદાજે 110 હંગલૂઓ ડાચીગામ નેશનલ પાર્કમાં રહે છે. એ જ રીતે, અમોક વિસ્તારમાં સામાન્ય રીતે જોવા મળતી બારસિંગા હરણની પ્રજાતિ હવે મધ્ય ભારતના કેટલાક જંગલો સુધી મર્યાદિત છે.
પર્યાવરણ નિષ્ણાતો અને વૈજ્ઞાનિકોના મતે પ્રદૂષણ અને ધુમ્મસવાળા વાતાવરણમાં જીવજંતુઓ સુસ્ત બની જાય છે. પ્રદૂષણના ઝેર હવે મધમાખીઓ અને રેશમના કીડા જેવા જંતુઓના શરીરમાં પણ પ્રવેશી રહ્યા છે. રંગબેરંગી પતંગિયાઓને પણ નુકસાન થઈ રહ્યું છે. ઘણી જગ્યાએ વધારાના પ્રદૂષણને કારણે વૃક્ષો અને છોડને પણ વિપરીત અસર થઈ રહી છે.
હવામાં સલ્ફર ડાયોક્સાઈડ, નાઈટ્રોજન અને ઓઝોનનું પ્રમાણ વધુ હોવાથી વૃક્ષો અને છોડના પાંદડા પણ સુકાઈ જાય છે અને તૂટી જાય છે. પર્યાવરણ નિષ્ણાંતોના મતે જો આ સ્થિતિને અત્યારે ગંભીરતાથી ધ્યાને લેવામાં નહીં આવે તો નજીકના ભવિષ્યમાં વૃક્ષો અને છોડ અને જીવતા જીવજંતુઓની અનેક પ્રજાતિઓ લુપ્ત થઈ જશે.
લુપ્ત થતી પ્રજાતિઓને સાચવીને ઇકોસિસ્ટમ પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરો
આજે, આ દિવસ ભારત સહિત વિશ્વમાં સૌથી વધુ ભયંકર જંગલી પ્રાણીસૃષ્ટિ અને વનસ્પતિના સંરક્ષણ પર વૈશ્વિક સ્તરે પૃથ્વીવાસીઓનું ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રિત કરવા માટે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. છેલ્લા 9 વર્ષથી આખી દુનિયા આ અંગે જાગૃત છે જે સારી બાબત છે. જંગલી પ્રાણીસૃષ્ટિ અને વનસ્પતિની 8,400 થી વધુ પ્રજાતિઓ ગંભીર રીતે જોખમમાં છે અને અન્ય 30,000 પ્રજાતિઓ ગંભીર રીતે જોખમમાં છે અને ટકી રહેવા માટે સંઘર્ષ કરી રહી છે. વન્યજીવ અને પ્રાણીશાસ્ત્રીઓના તારણ મુજબ, 10 લાખથી વધુ પ્રજાતિઓ લુપ્ત થવાનો ભય છે. 2022 માં વિશ્વ વન્યજીવન ભયંકર પ્રજાતિઓના લુપ્ત થવાના કારણોને ઉલટાવીને તેમના મૂળ રહેઠાણો, રહેઠાણો, ખોરાક વગેરેમાં પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરવા માટે વૈશ્વિક કાર્ય પર ગંભીરતાથી ભાર મૂકે છે. કારણ કે લુપ્તપ્રાય પ્રજાતિઓ માટે રહેઠાણનું સતત નુકસાન, તેમની ઇકોસિસ્ટમ્સ સાથે, તમામ જીવનને જોખમમાં મૂકે છે. પૃથ્વી, આપણા સહિત, આપણે તેમને પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરવા માટે હવે જરૂરી પગલાં લેવા જોઈએ.
